Due to its folate content, it contributes to the growth of maternal tissues during pregnancy; and to the normal synthesis of amino acids.
Due to its zinc content, it contributes to normal protein synthesis; to the maintenance of bones in normal conditions; to normal acid-base balance; and to the protection of cells against oxidative damage.
